Well hasn't Rylan come a long way? It was only four years when he first auditioned for The X Factor and had that unforgettable breakdown when Nicole Scherzinger told him he was through, and now he will be re-joining his former mentor as he has landed himself a hosting gig on the series.
It has been officially announced on This Morning that Rylan Clark-Neal has joined The Xtra Factor as a co-host alongside Matt Edmondoson. He couldn't really be a better fit, with Rylan more than proving his hosting chops on Big Brother's Bit On the Side the last few years.
Since he came fifth in the 2012 X Factor series, Rylan has gone on to be one of the show's most successful former contestants, winning Celebrity Big Brother back in 2013, and also landing his own chat show recently, while he has just released an autobiography.
The Xtra Factor will also be going live from the very start of the series this year, so even though the auditions are pre-recorded, the show will still be up to date with the public's reaction.
Both The X Factor and the Xtra Factor will be on our screens later in the summer.
