Radio and TV presenter Ryan Tubridy has had to pull out of his regular RTE Radio One slot this morning, due to feeling under the weather.
A "persistent cough" is said to be the culprit of Ryan Tubridy's absence, and with everything going on he thought it best to get it checked out as soon as possible. Filling in for Ryan this morning at 9am on RTE Radio One was impressionist and columnist Oliver Callan.
Good morning. I'll be filling in @RyanTubridyShow this morning from 9am. Stay tuned @RTERadio1

Callan told listeners that Ryan is "getting it checked out". He also praised Ryan and the 'Late Late Show' team for the amount of quality content they've managed to produce for the past two weeks without a studio audience. On last Friday's episode, Ryan underwent a simulation of what it looks like to be tested - any many viewers praised the presenter for showing this stark reality to the country.
Hopefully, Ryan Tubridy and his bout of coughing will just turn out to be a regular cough, and he'll be on the mend and return for his usual 'Late Late Show' appearance this Friday night. We'll keep you updated as the story progresses.
