After just two weeks off, Ryan Tubridy is going back to work and is returning to host 'The Late Late Show' from next week.

Miriam O'Callaghan, who stepped in for Tubridy following his diagnosis, announced the news at the end of last night's broadcast. The show has been without a live audience since the start of social distancing measures, however last night's show featured guests including Gavin James, Aer Lingus pilot Captain Tina Murray who recently returned from Beijing with medical equipment and PPE, and celebrity fitness instructor Joe Wicks.

Meanwhile, viewing figures for 'The Late Late Show' have skyrocketed in the weeks since social distancing, with some 863,000 tuning in to watch last week's show, which featured a haunting performance of 'The Parting Glass' by Hozier.

As well as this, it's likely that Tubridy will also be returning to his radio show on RTÉ Radio One, which has been hosted by comedian Oliver Callan.

No guests have been announced so far for next week's show.
