Boyzone star Ronan Keating is hanging up his acting boots for a while, as he heads back down under to rejoin the judging panel for The X Factor. The singer has been trying his hand at the old acting game recently, with his feature film debut in the comedy 'Goddess' gaining positive enough reviews. He even hangs out with Russell Crowe occasionally now, and enjoyed a pint with him in Kehoe's in Dublin at the weekend, as the star was in town for the Noah premiere.
Speaking to The Herald before he left yesterday, he said; "I have met him on a few different occasions and I have great time for him, so it was really nice to catch up". Hold up, Ronan has great time for him? Ahem, yeah, how sound of you Ro.
Although Crowe did have some nice words to say about the fella; "I auditioned Ronan for a movie called The Water Diviner earlier this year, the actor said. "I put him through some hoops -- he was good."
Ronan will be back in Oz for three weeks for filming of the show, in what will be his sixth series as a judge. He told The Herald he was looking forward to it, and that "work is going really well and I'm very busy so I can't complain".
Australia is where he met current girlfriend Storm Uechtritz, who also joined him at the Noah premiere, along with his children. son Jack (15), actress daughter Missy (13) and Ali (8).
