Robert DeNiro and Julianne Moore are teaming up for a new TV series, developed by David O. Russell.
TV has become a place where actors go to revive their careers (Christian Slater, Matthew McConaughey), so maybe now the medium will work its magic for DeNiro. The veteran actor has put in some questionable performances recently, notably this year's Dirty Grandpa, so it would be great see him back on top form.
The project is still in development, and has not yet been pitched to networks, but given the names attached there is sure to be plenty of interest. David O. Russell is best known for his film work, including
Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, but does have experience in TV. He has worked with DeNiro twice in recent years.
There are minimal details available, but the show would only run for a limited number of episodes. It's something we really hope makes it to TV screens.
