Production has been halted on the sixth season of the show according to Deadline, who report that 63-year-old Pedro Jimenez, a longtime production assistant, was struck by an SUV in the early hours of Monday morning (December 10) in Brooklyn.
A statement from the Starz network which airs the show said: "We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our Power family.
"Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez’ family as we work to fully understand what has happened."

Jackson posted on Instagram about the tragedy, saying: "My prayers and condolences are with the entire Jimenez family."
Actor Omari Hardwick posted a lengthy statement on Instagram, in which he said: "NO team ever imagines losing a teammate. Let alone like this.
"On behalf of ALL of us here at 'Power', we send our deepest condolences to the entire Jimenez family & God, we ask that you warmly receive our good ole Pedro."
