It does exactly what it says on the tin: Prince is apparently going to take on his first TV acting role in New Girl's upcoming Super Bowl special. Sure wouldn't you want your debut to be screened on the one night of the year that almost everyone in America is glued to d'telly?
DrFunkenberry.com (what a name for a website lads, what a name) says the singer is set to cause drama between fan favourite pairing Nick (Jake Johnson) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel). A show source told the website: "Prince actually reached out to the show. He is a big fan and wanted to do it. We were blown away and agreed immediately."
There's talk of the episode being centred around Prince's infamous star-studded house parties and rumour has it that it could even feature a live performance from the star.
Funnily enough,Hannah Simon, who plays CeCe, hinted at a big announcement on the Twitter machine last night: 'Big Deal Alert! Exciting news coming tomorrow..... (sic)', she wrote. Guess we know what she was talking about now then, eh?
