Warning: Here lie spoilers of the Carrigstown variety....
We really thought we had seen the last of this lady, but looks like one of Fair City's most popular characters will make a return over the Christmas holidays. Actress Claudia Carroll who played the feisty Nicola Prendergast on the show for many a year, will be rocking up to her ex-husband Paul's door this festive period to try win him back.
Claudia left the soap back in 2007 to focus full-time on her writing career but is set to return to Carrigstown for a brief stint to ruffle a few feathers. Nicola has obviously heard word of Paul and Niamh's separation and it turns out she too has split from her husband-to-be, and her mind is firmly set on winning Paul back.
She may not have too much trouble either, considering Paul will be feeling the pain of his first Christmas without Niamh. Won't help that she is across the road with her toy boy eiher. Niamh and Nicola have never had much time for each other (although they are besties in real life) so will be interesting to see how it plays out between those two as well.
Watch out, Carol and Yvonne, there are new frenemies in town!
