Maurice LaMarche and Rob Paulsen, who voiced Brain and Pinky respectively in the classic animated series, may have let slip that a potential comeback of the series may be on the horizon.
The duo were performing at the Vulture Festival in LA earlier this weekend and, amidst a long session of reading out classic movie scenes in their voices (sounds weird, but also cool), Rob Paulsen (Pinky) let slip a snippet of information.
"If we get our show back..." Paulsen remarked in Pinky's voice, to which LaMarche (in Brain's voice) quickly cut him off with, "Quiet, Pinky, or I’ll have to beat you over the head with an NDA..."
Now, you may be thinking to yourself that that's nothing and probably just a bit of friendly joshing and banter. Except, of course, 'Animaniacs' is getting a reboot on Hulu and it would only stand to reason that a reboot of 'Pinky and the Brain' is also being discussed.
Don't forget that 'Pinky and the Brain' began life as a segment on 'Animaniacs', so it'd make sense that if they're doing one, the success of it will depend on 'Pinky and the Brain' getting one.
Then it's only a matter of time before we get the 'Freakazoid' reboot we all want.
