Hard to believe it's Eurosong time again, feels like only last week we were watching Linda Martin turn Incredible Hulk on us with your man from Aslan. However we doubt anything even half as exciting will happen tomorrow night in The Late Late Show's annual Eurosong special but sure we'll remain optimistic! Linda Martin is still on the judging panel after all... although we may have already reached our quota for mad Late Late Shows this year.
Linda Martin will be joined on the judging panel by Panty Bliss, Eurovision fan and TV presenter Mairead Farrell, and the Godfather of Eurovision Phil Coulter. While Tubridy will be introducing the five acts in the running to represent Ireland at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, with the competitors including Zambian-born R&B performer Alex Saint and accompanying vocal group the MJs, former Rose of Tralee contestant Kat Mahon, talent show star Erika Selin, ex-Eurovision entrant Nikki Kavanagh and self-taught teenage musician Molly Sterling.
There they are all below....
A sign of the madness to come?? God willing.
With added beard... a key ingredient in winning we have all learned.
Tubridy said: ‘Eurovision is treasured by the Irish public. It’s got it all – the glitz, the sparkles, the drama of what’s at stake, which we learned all about at Eurosong last year! I’m looking forward to a night of fun, surprises and great music on the Late Late Show. I wish the five young singers the best of luck in their bid to go to Vienna this May for the opportunity of a lifetime, at Eurovision’s 60th anniversary.’
Voting lines will be announced during the show, and as was the case last year, Ireland’s Eurovision entry will be selected by a combination of public and regional jury vote. This year’s Eurovision will be held in Vienna, Austria in May on Saturday 23 May, with Ireland competing in the second semi-final.
Tomorrow night's Late Late Eurosong Special will kick off at 9.35pm.
