As we reported last week, Liam Neeson's Taken is just one of several popular movies that are getting a TV remake this year.
For the uninitiated, Taken saw Neeson star as Bryan Mills, a former CIA agent with a particular set of skills. He uses said particular set of skills on the streets of Paris as he tries to track down the human traffickers who kidnapped his daughter. The film was a surprise hit that spawned two unnecessary sequels and a million internet memes and GIFs.
NBC feel that there is still an appetite amongst audiences for more Bryan Mills so have decided to make a prequel series to show how Mills acquired the aforementioned particular set of skills. They've also decided on the actor that will fill Liam Neeson's boots and portray the young Mills. Clive Standen.
Fans of Vikings will already be familiar with the actor as he portrays Rollo on the History Channel series.
Before you get start to panic that this means he's going to be killed off in that show, the plan apparently is for him finish his filming duties on season four before starting Taken. His character won't be killed off so he could very well be back for season five.
