Last week the internet went into overdrive following the release of a Downton Abbey season five promo pic which had a plastic water bottle in the background. Outlandish stuff altogether. Obviously.
The picture featured stars Hugh Bonneville and Laura Carmichael with the offending water bottle in question on the mantlepiece behind them. A major gaffe on the part of the photographers of course, but one which the cast of Downton Abbey didn't take too seriously, well if this picture is anything to go by that is.
The stars used the opportunity to raise awareness for WaterAid, non-profit organisation based in the UK that provides cleanwater in places in need of it worldwide.
Well played, Downton, well played.
