We cannot stress how much the return of Twin Peaks has piqued our imagination and interest.
Since then, however, news has been somewhat scarce on what's happening with the return of the cult classic.
David Lynch tweeted this picture below of one Kyle MacLachlan, confirming his official return as Special Agent Dale Cooper.
Welcome back to #TwinPeaks Special Agent Dale Cooper! @Kyle_MacLachlan returns in '16 on @SHO_Network #damnfinecoffee pic.twitter.com/vTphDLvR0y

Lynch and Mark Frost have agreed to write and produce all nine episodes, with Lynch himself directing each one.
The show will return to our screens in 2016, marking 25 years since the show first debuted on TV.
It's not yet known if other cast members, such as Lara Flynn Boyle, Miguel Ferrera and Michael Ontkean, have been asked to reprise their roles.
In the meantime, all we can do is bask in the glory of seeing a modern-day Dale Cooper back on our screen.
Damn fine coffee. Hot too.
