Well this is great news if we ever heard it, Sky Atlantic's new show Penny Dreadful has only recently premiered on the channel but has already secured a second season. Even better, Josh Hartnett and the gang will be returning to film here! Lucky we managed to find out some of their favourite hangouts recently... although on second thoughts, maybe they won't go back to those places now. Dammit, we really didn't think that one through.
Anyways, the Gothic Victorian drama which also stars, Tomothy Dalton, Eva Green and Billie Piper will go into production later this year for season two. Cameron Roach, Acting Head of Drama, Sky Entertainment said; "We are really pleased to be able to bring a second series of Penny Dreadful to our customers' screens. With the show set in Victorian London and filmed in Ireland, we are very proud of Penny Dreadful’s British and Irish roots. We are thrilled to be working with Neal Street Productions and Showtime on the second series.”
The first series continues on Sky Atlantic, with episode 4 premiering next Tuesday at 9pm, and previous episodes available for customers to catch up through Sky On Demand.
