It's been a great couple of days for Lemony Snicket fans. Yesterday it was announced that Neil Patrick Harris is to star as the dastardly Count Olaf in the Netflix arrival.

Today comes the news that the narrator of the series, Lemony Snicket himself has also been cast. The man with the best voice on television, Patrick Warburton. The mysterious Snicket was played by Jude Law in the movie adaptation.

Warburton will be most recognisable from Rules of Engagement though you would have heard his dulcet tones in among countless others, Family Guy and The Emperor's New Groove.

For those not familiar with the book series, the story follows the orphaned children Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny Baudelaire who come under the care of the villainous Count Olaf (Harris). Olaf wants to get his hands on the fortune that the children will receive when they come of age and has a whole host of tricks up his sleeve in order to do it. The Baudelaires face trials, tribulations and countless misfortune all in their quest to stop Olaf and uncover the secret of their parents’ deaths.

We think they really couldn't have cast the role better. This combined with Harris' casting has us really excited about this one.
