The Golden Globes is always an almighty gathering of the who's who in the TV and movie world, but the stars of this year's event was yet again the hosts - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
While the jokes may have been a little more riskier this year - the Leo joke for one - "Like a supermodel's vagina, let's all give a warm welcome to Leonard DiCaprio." But Leo cracked up as he was walking on stage so all was grand. And the dude dates a LOT of supermodels, to be fair.
The pressure was high this year for their opening monologue, which probably went more viral last year than Taylor Swift's goat song. The ladies delivered though, and brought down all around them while they did. One of the highlights being when they slagged off Matthew Maconohonahay...
"Matthew McConaughey did amazing work this year. For his role in 'Dallas Buyers Club' he lost forty-five pounds. Or, what actresses call 'being in a movie."
Even their friend Julia Louis-Dreyfus wasn't safe as they accused her of 'changing' while she was sitting with the film people.
Speaking of Taylor Swift, last year the girls pretty much annihilated her, asking her to stay away from Michael J. Fox's son and the like. In an interview afterwards with Vanity Fair, the singer said there was a "special place in hell" for women who don’t help women, obviously referencing Tina and Amy. Meeow.
This year though, it seemed she got off lightly, or did she? Take yourself back to when Amy Poehler won her Best Actress award, Tina Fey took the mike and ever so fast quipped 'I love you but there is a special place in hell for you'. No doubt that swooped right over Taylor's head, but a perfect example of how the ladies simply don't miss a beat.
Oh and Amy shifted Bono, can't forget that.
We're not alone in our praise either. Time magazine said "Toastesses to the Hostesses With the Mostesses - Tina Fey and Amy Poehler again made a tough job look easy".
While The Huffington Post said: "We Needed More Tina and Amy Awesomeness" with Hollywood Life saying they "were hilarious Golden Globes hosts".
As the ladies said in their closing: "It was the mess we hoped it would be."
What a fantastic mess though. Here's hoping they do a Ricky Gervais on it and return for the hat trick next year.
