The BBC are getting their money's worth out of the soon-to-be-departed Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill.
Before the pair make their final appearance as Amy Pond and Rory Williams in the upcoming series of Doctor Who (which kicks off on BBC1 at 7.20pm on Saturday September 1st), they will also do a turn in a 5-part online miniseries by the name of Pond Life (d'yegerreh?!). Airing on the official Doctor Who website and the BBC's YouTube channel over five consecutive days from Monday August 27th, it will focus exclusively on the Time Lord's sidekicks.
Thankfully writer Chris Chibnall has more details: "Pond Life provides us with a lovely opportunity to catch up with Amy and Rory since we saw them at the end of the last series. It opens with them at home and gives us an insight into just what happens when the Doctor drops in and out of their lives. Travelling with the Doctor is one of the greatest things you can do, but it's fun to spend a few moments looking at the chaos he can also bring."
Yeah, Chris didn't do an amazing job there, so we'll ferry you over to Karen and Arthur to explain a bit further.
If you happen not to be near a computer to watch the series, there's a repeat of all five episodes via 'the red button' on Saturday September 1st.
