Star of the show, Nicole Kidman, has revealed when we can expect to see Big Little Lies season 2.
The actress spoke on CNN’s 'New Year’s Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen', where she appeared opposite husband Keith Urban.
Cohen asked Kidman when the second season will debut on HBO. She candidly answered: “It’s looking like June. I think June.”
Directed by Jean-Marc Vallée, Big Little Lies debuted in February 2017. The series was highly acclaimed and won eight Emmys as well as four Golden Globes.
It stars Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley as three mothers struggling in Monterey, California. They become embroiled in a murder investigation.
All three actresses are set to return, as are their co-stars Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz.
Excitingly, season 2 will also include Meryl Streep as Mary Louise Wright, the mother-in-law of Kidman’s Celeste and mother of Celeste’s husband Perry (Alexander Skarsgård).
Former Big Love, The Alienist and Vinyl actor Douglas Smith has also been added to the cast.
