Nicki Minaj is the latest massive hoop being handed its own reality TV show.
The Starships hitmaker - who was recently unveiled as a judge on 'American Idol' - is said to have begun filming a fly-on-the-wall documentary series for the E! network earlier this week, Perez Hilton has revealed.
Insiders are convinced the eccentric singer will make for great viewing. They must know something I don't. She managed to bore yet irritate beyond reproach when on The Graham Norton Show.
One insider told the Daily Mirror: "Nicki's life on camera will blow away all other previous reality stars." That's probably because she has an proper career based on what a lot of people perceive to be an actual talent.
In saying that, however, Nicki recently revealed she agreed to judge American Idol because it is such a "credible" show...
She said: "This is such a credible brand. It's really serious, it's real deal it's not anything else other than really looking for talent. If I can be a part of that I'm really down for it... I remember watching 'American Idol' in the first season and feeling inspired. I spoke to Jordin Sparks the other day and here she is starring in a movie ['Sparkle'] and I said to her, 'I remember watching you and picking up my phone.' I didn't vote for her because my brother liked the other guy, but I told her that, "You know you're a part of history, kind of. Because I remember calling and seeing your face and being inspired and hearing your story.'"
And that's the kind of meandering sentiments you'll be treated to during her upcoming reality show. She might also bang on about being a positive role model while getting her arse out and singing lyrics like:
"Jump in my hoopty hoopty hoop, I own that
And I ain't paying my rent this month, I owe that
But f*ck who you want, and f*ck who you like
Dance our life, there's no end in sight "
