If you just so happen to be Irish (or if you've got red hair) and currently living in New Zealand and you're looking for work and you don't mind being on TV, you're in luck.
Amazon's TV adaptation of JRR Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' is currently hiring extras for production, and is hiring people for its show. The casting call from BGT Actors, Models and Talent was picked up by Reddit as the show is set to begin production in New Zealand this year.
Previously, Scotland was being touted as a possible location for the series, however New Zealand won out after a fierce competition between the two countries ended just last month. All told, the production budget for the series is expected to be near $1 billion.
BGT's casting call, meanwhile, is looking for "red-haired people", "hairy people of all ethnicities", "LA biker types (long hair and beards)", "circus performers who can walk on stilts and juggle", "tall, long lithe dancers with ethereal looks", and both tall people over 6'5 and short people under 4'11.
You can check out the casting video here and apply online here. Also, if you end up being discovered by being in Amazon's 'Lord of the Rings' and you end up winning a Golden Globe, you're obligated to give us a shout-out at the podium.
Either that or bring us back some kind of prop from the show. Sorry, but them's the rules.
