Be still our beating hearts - 'Parks and Recreation' is coming back for a new episode. And no, it's not just a reunion episode with the actors, it's an actual half-hour of Leslie Knope, Ann Perkins, Ron Swanson, and the rest of the oddballs as we all return to Pawnee, Indiana.
The new 'Parks and Rec' episode will see each of the main characters from the comedy series return to our screens via videolink later this month. All of the big names originally attached to the series are expected to return, so Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, Chris Pratt, Adam Scott, Rob Lowe, Retta, and Jim O’Heir as Larry/Gary/Terry/Jerry will all be making appearances.
What exactly the crew will be getting up to remains a mystery, and considering the last time we saw these characters all on screen together we're intrigued as to what the premise will be. Now that all of the characters have moved back to Pawnee (Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe's characters Ann and Chris announced they would be returning during the final season) we're sure that fresh Leslie Knope drama will be on the cards.
The special episode was announced by NBC, and the episode has been implemented to raise funds for those in need. The television network has said that Pawnee civil servant Leslie Knope is "determined to stay connected to her friends in a time of social distancing", so we are envisioning an end-of-the-world-type scenario like episodes 'Flu Season' and 'Flu Season 2'.
