Despite rumours that this season would be its last, it seems as though New Girl is being pushed on for one final season.
The TV upfronts and negotiations have spared New Girl for a seventh and final season, how Jake Johnson - one of the castmembers of the show - admitted in an interview in March of this year that a finale was filmed for the current season that would tie things off that was to be their last.
Although New Girl started strong, overall interest in the show petered out pretty quickly - despite some high-profile guest stars like Megan Fox, Jamie Lee Curtis and Olivia Munn.
According to a source who spoke to Variety, the final season of New Girl will be shortened to just eight episodes with the story being wrapped up for good by the end.
