The first episode of Never Mind The Buzzcocks' TWENTY-SEVENTH season debuted last night with veteran British actor John Hannah taking on the hosting duties. Team captains Noel Fielding and Phil Jupitus returned together with guests Aluna George, Hairy Bikers' star Dave Myers, one half of Basement Jaxx Felix Buxton and comedian James Acaster.

So how'd it go down? Well, to be honest, John Hannah was a bit of letdown. It might just be that he's a crap actor, not funny and not really a good fit for the series, but hey - they can't be all Simon Amstell, right? 

Guests lined up for the upcoming season include Sarah Millican, Iggy Azalea, Rudimental, Carol Voderman and Conor Maynard. Hosts for this season will include Jack Whitehall, Russell Howard, Michael Bolton (really!?) and Dizzee Rascal.
