It seems as though they're handing out sitcoms left right and centre these days in the States so it's no surprise to hear that Meg Ryan is the latest actress to land herself a new TV role.
The When Harry Met Sally star is joining forces with Family Ties (the sitcom that essentially MADE Michael J Fox) writer Mark Lawrence for the project, which will see her leading the cast of a TV series for the first time.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Meg will star as a "sunny, devoted and desperately non-confrontational single mum" who decides it's high time she got back to business at the New York publishing house where she was formerly the editor. We're not sure the phrases 'publishing boss' and 'non-confrontational' necessarily go together but hey, it's just TV.
Anyway, it just so happens that she has an estranged husband, teenage kids and a meddling mother-in-law to deal with and, of course, her boss is none other than the 30-year-old who was previously her intern. Nice.
We're sure it'll be full of all the usual awkward antics and wholesome family messages but our hopes aren't exactly high for this one, being honest.
