Saturday Night Live returned last night and it was probably no surprise that the biggest news story of the last week featured heavily.
Alex Moffat, playing Senator Chuck Grassley kicked off proceedings.
"We've heard from the alleged victim, but now it's time to hear from the hero, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. I'm told he’s been shadow boxing in the men's room for the last 40 minutes," he says.
Matt Damon enters playing a snivelling, angry and beer-obsessed Judge Kavanaugh.
"I'm going to start at an 11, I'm a take it to about a 15 real quick," he starts.
"I'm usually an optimist, I'm a keg is half-full kind of guy," he says, "But what I've seen from the monsters on this committee makes me want to puke, and not from beer."
"Guess what?’ he shouts at one point. “I'm not backing down you sons of bitches. I don't know the meaning of the word 'stop'!"
"Look I like beer OK?’ he continues. “I like beer. Boys like beer. Girls like beer. I like beer. I like beer!"
We thought that maybe Bob Odenkirk would have made a good Kavanaugh but Damon didn’t let anybody down. Watch the full sketch here:
