Although Daredevil is due back on our screens this Thursday, March 18th, we'll be getting another Marvel TV series on Netflix pretty soon.
Luke Cage, who turned up in the brilliant Jessica Jones, is now set to get his own spinoff series this September. The news was announced at the Daredevil premiere in New York, where Michael Colter and the cast of Daredevil attended.
For those that don't know, Cage was the guy who ran the bar where Jessica Jones regularly drank in. Not only that, she and Cage were also an item for the first part of the series. It's understood that the Luke Cage series will see him move to Harlem and face off against enemies such as Cottonmouth and Black Mariah. It's also pretty likely that Jessica Jones will make an appearance in at least one or two episodes of the series.
The series will be executive produced by Cheo Hodari Coker, who worked in a similar role on Ray Donovan, the short-lived Almost Human and wrote the Notorious BIG biopic from a few years ago. Also turning up in the cast will be Mahershala Ali, who played Remy Danton in House of Cards.
Luke Cage hits Netflix on September 30th, 2016, with all thirteen episodes available immediately.
