Charlie Murphy, who plays Siobhan in Love/Hate, has joined the cast of Ripper Street.
Despite the show being based in London's West end, the cast and crew are currently filming the second series in our fair city. Murphy, who won an IFTA for Best Actress at this years awards, has signed up to star in upcoming episodes. Murphy's career has gone from strength to strength after appearing in RTE's Love Hate. She has recently starred in the BBC's 'The Village' and is due to appear alongside Gabriel Byrne in 'Quirke' this autumn.
Murphy will also be joined by 'Jump' star Martin McCann on the show. McCann was also nominated for an IFTA this year for his role in Irish movie 'Jump'. You might also recognise him from the critically acclaimed movie 'Shadow Dancer'.
Ripper Street will continue to film in Dublin over the summer finishing on the 31st August. Recently, filming extended beyond Clancy Barracks to the Natural History museum on Merrion Row. The show which is a co production between Ireland's Element Pictures and the UK's Tifer Aspect productions and Lookout Point is set to return to BBC in 2014.
