Ripper Street has yet another Irish actor joining its cast as Love/Hate star Killian Scott has landed a role on the BBC show. He will join Monaghan actress Charlene McKenna on the series although it has yet to be confirmed what character he will play.
The fourth season has just begun filming in Dublin at the moment, while the third season kicked off on the BBC recently. It was touch-and-go for a while over the future of the Victorian drama with the series being axed by the BBC after just two seasons. It was then picked up by streaming service Amazon Prime after fans started an online petition for its return, and it was then sold back to the BBC (although it's also available to stream on Amazon Prime). Bizarre enough as TV show stories go!
Also joining the cast for the fourth season is Shameless star David Threlfall, David Warner (The Omen), Matthew Lewis (Harry Potter) and Jonas Armstrong (Edge of Tomorrow), while its stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg, MyAnna Buring and Charlene McKenna will all be reprising their roles for the fourth season.
Show creator Richard Warloe said; "From our new studio set in Ireland, it has been a delight to watch this cast reunite and grow. As these new characters' lives take shape on the page, it is a daily inspiration to know that they will be brought to life by the most magnificent troupe of actors Ripper Street has yet assembled."
