Ah, the Internet. Is there anything it can't do?
Viral campaigns for TV shows are nothing new, of course, but they seem to have taken on a life of their own in recent years. A mysterious tweet went out from Stranger Things' account the other day that featured a row of numbers in a weather report for Detroit.
At first, people thought the figures had something to do with the news that Eleven - that's Millie Bobby Brown's character - was confirmed as returning for the second season. However, someone else made a quick bit of arithmetic on the numbers and found something else.
A date. Here's the tweet itself...

Now, if we take the numbers and subtract them from one another - 67 - 58 = 9, 50 - 42 = 8 and you take the barometric pressure, 30 - 13 = 17 - that gets you 9/8/17 or September 8th, 2017. That's on a Friday, which means you'll have the whole weekend to binge it in one go, if you fancy it.
@b_k_t @MaddieMartinez9 @Stranger_Things Look at the temp numbers. 67-58=9, 50-42=8 and if you look at the barometric press, 30-13=17. 😀

This pretty much tracks with what Netflix have been saying so far; that the show would be on Netflix later this year and likely not in the summer as the first series was. No, we can't take credit for discovering - as pretty much every clocked the numbers right away - but it definitely does seem like it's correct.
We'll know more tomorrow when the first trailer for Stranger Things' second season lands online.
