Although the names of the contestants hasn't yet been officially revealed, a number of tabloids this morning are claiming to know the name of the first contestant to be revealed for the winter edition of 'Love Island' - and it's Lewis Capaldi's ex-girlfriend.
Paige Turley, who was previously a contestant on 'Britain's Got Talent' back in 2012, is the first to be announced for the show. It's understood that Turley dated singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi some years ago, and their break-up was the inspiration for the song, 'Someone You Loved', as well as Capaldi's debut album, 'Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent'.
According to The Sun, Turley and Capaldi met while in college in Scotland and dated for a year and a half, with their difficult break-up inspiring Capaldi's work. That said, although Capaldi has never publicly named Turley as his ex, it's understood she was the subject of many of his songs.
The upcoming edition of 'Love Island' will swap Spain for South Africa, with the series kicking off in earnest on Sunday, January 12th.
