It’s a ten from Len.
It’ll be strange watching the new series of Strictly Come Dancing without Len Goodman giving his dramatic, over the top but funny appraisals of the amateur dancers.
He’s become a piece of the furniture alongside fellow judges Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood and might have been forgiven for being a little jealous or suspicious of the judge taking his place. But that doesn’t appear to be the case.
In an interview with The Mirror he said he was delighted with the new addition, pictured below.
"I've judged her at thousands of competitions and I taught her and her husband Corky, and there's no-one who knows their ballroom and Latin like her," he said.
"Fantastic, wonderful dancer, far better than I ever was."
"Well, at least it’s not a guy," he said. "That makes a nice balance."
Good on you, Len.
The Saturdays Mollie King, actress Gemma Atkinson and singer Aston Merrygold are among the, eh, celebrities taking part.
Strictly returns to BBC1 next month.
