LaAnn Rimes came under intense media scrutiny a few years back when (while still married) she had an affair with her co-star Eddie Cibrian (also married), but now the former pop princess wants to show the world that she's anything but a 'home-wrecker', and she's turning to Reality TV to do so.
Herself and the fella are developing their own reality series on VH1, in the hopes of controlling how the public sees them. They've never been the most popular 'sleb pairing, and they seem to think that's down to how they're marketed by the media. "We are really excited to be working together on a unique show that will give you a glimpse into who we really are or better yet, who we're really not." the couple said in a statement. "We're thrilled to partner with VH1 and The Gurneys to put our spin on a project full of love, humour and music."
We can expect to see LeAnn learning how to be a stepmother to Eddie's sons with ex-wife Brandi Glanville, despite previous reports that the kids (who are only 9 and 6-years-old) wouldn't be put in front of the cameras.
"LeAnn and Eddie are both talented entertainers who have really captured the public's imagination in the last couple of years, but there is so much more to them than what is in the tabloids" said Tom Calderone, President of VH1. "This is going to be a really fun show in which we hope to reveal what their lives are really like - from the normalcy of their home life, to what drives them artistically, to the chaos of their celebrity life."
Yes. Because putting your private life on television will really solve all your problems...
