As American Horror Story moves into its fifth season, they've decided to add a new cast member.

You might be more familiar with her from her music and outlandish fashion choices more so than from her acting skills, but Lady Gaga will be making her TV acting debut in the new series entitled American Horror Story: Hotel. She tweeted about the news earlier today with a suitably bizarre video, announcing her role in the show.

Before you point out that she has acted before in such titles as Muppets Most Wanted, we are aware of that, but this is the first time that she will be a recurring character and won't be playing herself.

According to Rolling Stone, Gaga is the first guest at the Hotel, if you will, as other regulars from past series such as Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts and Jessica Lange look like they won't be coming back. We'll just have to wait it out for official confirmation on the cast, it seems.
