Kate Middleton has been in the news in recent weeks as speculation (and some bizarre conspiracy theories) continues to mount regarding why she has not been seen in public in recent months.
However, it looks like another controversy is set to potentially engulf the Middleton family - and perhaps the royal family - as the Princess of Wales' uncle is rumoured to be amongst the names entering the Celebrity Big Brother house.
The new series of the reality show kicks off tonight on ITV in the UK, with names like Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Fern Britton, Leigh Francis, Shirley Ballas and more rumoured to be taking part in the first celebrity version of the newly-rejigged series.
The name Gary Goldsmith won't be familiar to many, but he is the brother of Kate Middleton's mother Carole - and it seems that a lot of people are worried about what potential secrets he may possibly spill.
A source told The Sun: "Gary said he’s been read the riot act by Kate’s mum Carole and her dad Michael. They aren’t happy he’s going into Celebrity Big Brother."
They added: "It is infuriating for them. Kate doesn’t need this stress."
According to the official statement from Kensington Palace, Kate is taking time away from public duties to recover from abdominal surgery, but that hasn't stopped wild theories from spreading across social media regarding her silence and her absence from public life.
Irish viewers will be able to tune into the new series on Virgin Media Two tonight.
