Forgive me. So much news has been circulating regarding Top Gear, and Jeremy Clarkson doing a car show on a different station, I'm not sure what's heresay and what's actual 'news' anymore.

What has become apparent is that James May and Richard Hammond both turned down millions (a reported 4 million) to return to Top Gear without Clarkson.

Now, if rumours are to be believed (via UKBusinessInsider), the original line up will appear in a "new" car show on a "different channel" and an announcement will be made in a "matter of weeks". The "channel" has yet to be confirmed, but ITV are said to be pursuing the trio. The most likely scenario involves the show instead being streamed exclusively via Netflix.

James May, meanwhile, will also be hosting his own car show which involves watching him build a motor. It'll be on Channel 4 and it's called 'Building Cars Live.' As the title suggests, it will be 'Captain Slow' building a car in real time. Speaking of the prospect, May said “I can’t wait to build a car. Live.” According to The Sunday Times, the "new new show will consist of two 90-minute episodes and be broadcast live from BMW’s Mini factory in Oxford. It will track in real time the transformation from raw materials to finished vehicle."

Both shows are due to air around March 2016, before the new BBC Top Gear featuring Chris Evans returns.

Consider yourselves up to speed.
