Although it's been delayed twice now, Star Trek: Discovery is still one of the most hotly anticipated new TV shows for this year.
The series has been shrouded in mystery, with only a few select details eking out of the set here and there. However, it's been confirmed today that Jason Isaacs will be playing Captain Lorca of the USS Discovery. Isaacs is no stranger to either television or sci-fi, having recently turned up in Netflix's The OA and played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise.
Other names set to appear in Star Trek Discovery include Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon star Michelle Yeoh, Gotham's James Frain, The Walking Dead's Sonequa Martin-Green and veteran creature actor Doug Jones, who'll play Lt. Saru.
Isaacs announced the news via his Twitter account, complete with our first look at the captain's chair from the USS Discovery.
