It was only a matter of time before Aidan Turner's shirtlessness would be tolerated by the BBC, and now it's coming to an end once and for all.
BBC confirmed today that filming is due to begin on the fifth and final season of 'Poldark' with many of the plot details for the upcoming season being revealed in a lengthy press statement. As with previous season, writer Debbie Horsfield is set to begin work on adapting the eighth novel in the series, 'The Stranger From The Sea', however executive producer Karen Thrussell added that the fifth season is "the last series in the Poldark chronicle... for now."

Aidan Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson are set to return as Ross and Demelza Poldark for the final season, whilst a number of new faces are set to be added to the cast. Lily Dodsworth-Evans, Kerri McLean, Sofia Oxenham and Vincent Regan are set to play undisclosed roles, whilst Heida Reed is unlikely to return, seeing as how her character's death was the cliffhanger for the fourth season to end on.
No date has been confirmed for 'Poldark' beyond a 2019 air date.
