It's been a drama-filled eight weeks but at long last it's final curtains for 'Love Island' tonight as the show crowns its 2018 winners.
The series has been the main TV talking point of the summer with more and more viewers getting sucked into the trials and tribulations of the villa's singletons.
And of course what better place to talk about it these days than on Twitter with Meltwater revealing to entertainment.ie that the show was tweeted about almost 11 million times over the course of its run with 200,000 of those coming from Irish viewers -78.5% female, 21.5%.
They also revealed the most retweeted tweets during the series, which include:

Naturally enough, the word "loyal" saw a spike on Twitter throughout Love Island's airing, getting 75,000 mentions by UK Twitter users in June, which then increased by 180% in July to 210,000. G'wan the Georgia.

- Megan & Wes: 21,000 mentions, 85% positive
