The new six episode mini-series will release on BBC One later this year.
Starring Alexander Skarsgård ('True Blood'), Michael Shannon ('Boardwalk Empire') and Florence Pugh ('The Falling'), 'The Little Drummer Girl' is the new thriller/drama from the producers of 'The Night Manager' and will be directed by Park Chan-Wook ('The Handmaiden').
The new TV mini-series is a remake of the 1984 thriller of the same name, which itself is based on the John Le Carré novel. Le Carré has written other well-known thrillers such as 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy', and 'The Constant Gardener' - so we know it's going to be good.
The synopsis of 'The Little Drummer Girl' goes, "A bomb explodes in the house of an Israeli attaché in West Germany. A team of Israelis wants to stop such frequent bombings, all brilliantly planned by an elusive Palestinian. The Israelis identify an eccentric actor of English origin and convert her into an Israeli agent. She and her case officers brilliantly win the confidence of the Palestinian network and she is accepted as their own".
No official release date as of yet for 'The Little Drummer Girl', but the mini-series will release on ABC in The States on 19th November, so we should expect it some time around then too.
