Although people might scoff at how actors have no experience of the real world, they do often have experience in wilder, less common situations.
Case in point is Hugh Laurie, who was on the Big Red Couch on last night's 'Graham Norton' dispensing advice on how to deal with lions. You know, the things with manes, very sharp teeth, big cats, prone to a roar and a human eating every now and then.
Anyway, as it turns out, Hugh Laurie is actually quite skilled in dealing with them and received said information on how to deal with them from a South African lion handler on a movie he starred in some time ago.
Without giving too much away, it's kind of disgusting and more than a little bit degrading, but when it's a life-or-death situation and you're looking at a lion pounding towards you with its mouth open, anything goes.
Take a look.
