Father Ted is undoubtedly Ireland's most loved comedy sitcom of all time, with repeats still aired on a weekly basis, so you may have wondered why the good folk at Gogglebox Ireland have never shown their households watching this classic Irish show.
The reason is basically because of how much we love it - it's too predictable and everyone pretty much knows what a character is going to say before they say it.
Speaking to the Herald, producer Simon Proctor said: "All anyone does is quote the show, repeating the catchphrases, so it gets a little predictable.
He went on to say: "Comedies are also best avoided as most of the time people just laugh but say very little.
"Similarly, if the clips are incredibly moving then people tend to clam up and don't comment, which can be difficult."
Proctor also added that anything Trump-related is best avoided: "The story with Trump is always changing so it's best to avoid it whenever we can."
It seems topical shows that were Irish garnered the best reactions like The Today Show and entertainment programmes.
