George RR Martin's series of books have undoubtedly reached cultural phenomenon status at this point, and if you haven't watched it/read them yet, do yourself a favour and get on it already.
The books and the TV series have gathered so much attention that some hardcore fans have even gone and named their kids after a few of the most famous characters.
Take a look at the stats released by the Office for National Statistics in the UK today.
It seems the Starks are proving the most popular amongst girls name, although Khaleesi and Daenarys are also in there. Seriously, who would call their kid Khaleesi?! Although you could imagine it, 'KhalEEEESi will you come in for your taeeeee'. Etc etc...
Amongst the boys names it seems Theon is the most popular, followed by Tyrion, Bran and Sandor. We assume there has been a lot of Jons', Neds' and Robs' too but the world of Game of Thrones can't exactly take credit for coming up with those names.
At least nobody has called their son Reek. Yet.
