Saoirse Ronan was joined on last night's 'Graham Norton' by her 'Lady Bird' co-star, Timothée Chalamet and - has been decreed centuries ago - when two or more Irish people come together on foreign soil, they have to talk about the homeland.
So it goes that Graham Norton brought up an old clip of Ronan in 2004 doing a decent-enough impression of the Gingerbread Man from 'Shrek 2' on national radio. The show was 'The Gerry Ryan Show', the host was Gerry Ryan, and the prize young Ronan was competing for was a trip to Florida.
How'd she do? Well, as it turned out, Ronan won the trip - the first her family had even been on - and fifteen years later, it was wheeled out for a talk show appearance. How's that for coming full circle?
