Adapting with the current times and creating a new TG4 talk show, Hector Ó hEochagáin's show from his garden shed in Galway is sadly coming to an end.
While in self-isolation at home, the TV presenter decided that he had had enough of mowing the lawn and it was about time he brought his own chat show to liven our mood each Thursday evening for the past six weeks. 'Hector Anseo' saw the likes of Tommy Tiernan, Johnny Logan, Mary Lou McDonald, and Pat Shortt all join in on the fun over the series (previous episodes can be viewed here).
With guests from the world of music, sport, culture and celebrity, Hector promises one final round of entertaining, sporty, gamey and personable touch to the Irish nation.
Irish actress Victoria Smurfit, who has starred in 'Ballykissangel', 'The Clinic', and 'Dracula' will be speaking to Hector about her daughter’s diagnosis of Macular Dystrophy.
Damien Dempsey will be chatting to Hector too, where he'll be discussing his belief that we need to make life slower and less complicated, and not return to the fast pace that was the norm prior to Covid19.
There are a number of sports stars on tonight's show with Tommy Dowd, former Meath footballer, and Mayo footballer Cora Staunton, who plays AFL professionally in Australia. 12-year-old boxer Ella Thompson will also be telling Hector that her dream is to be a professional boxer like her idol Katie Taylor.
Also on this episode is Máirtín Lally Jr. who had to postpone his wedding earlier this year, and finally, Hector decides to "Dial a Pint" from Monroe’s in Galway where owner Gary Monroe arrives to his shed to deliver his long-awaited pint!
You can catch all of this in tonight's 'Hector Anseo' will air at 9.30pm on TG4.
