We're well used to hearing people slag off Jack Gleeson's Prince Joffrey but did you know that HBO is now actively encouraging people to rip him to shreds on the internet?
The network seems to have copped on to the fact that the Game of Thrones young'un is less than popular with the fanbase and subsequently launched a #RoastJoffrey twitter campaign. There's a website for it and everything. If you don't believe us, click here.
At the time of writing this piece about 42,000 tweets featuring #RoastJoffrey had been counted, with a few famous faces getting in on the action too. "Hey Joffrey I can't wait to see your new movie The Desolation of Smug" Eli Roth tweeted. "His father is his uncle, his mother is aunt #notweird #RoastJoffrey" Beni Madden added. Even the Game of Thrones raven managed to get a dig in.
Now, we're sure the whole thing would be hilarious if it wasn't, well, for want of a better phrase, a bit cringy. And they wonder why Jack Gleeson is considering quitting acting... They'll never ever let him live it down, will they?
