Guillermo Del Toro's a busy man. He's got the new Hobbit movie coming out at the end of the year, he's been announced as the director of a remake of Pinnochio, he's currently filming period drama-horror Crimson Peak and now he's got a TV show on the way as well. The Strain sees a group of doctors called to New York to deal with a mysterious viral outbreak that looks a lot like vampires. The outbreak coincides with, you guessed it, a solar eclipse.
The teaser pointedly tells us nothing and the poster is well, icky as all hell. Don't click on that link if you're squeamish.
It's Guillermo Del Toro so we're expecting the ick factor to be quite high. The series will debut on FX some time in July.
