If you're a big fan of Grey's Anatomy then you'll be only too delighted to hear that it won't be doing a Friends and going off the air while it's still flying high. In fact, it won't be going anywhere for a long time yet.
The president of the show's parent network ABC says he's absolutely delighted with how the show is performing. Paul Lee told Collider that he was "very proud" of the show, and revealed that showrunner Shonda Grimes is currently "planning a number of series out".
"Shonda is an extraordinary creative force" he said. "She will, as she always does, bring changes that are extraordinary. But, it is the number one drama on television, when you look at the C3s, and that’s an extraordinary accomplishment, after so many years. So, we would like to see it on the network for many years to some. We’re very, very proud of it."
Speaking of Shonda, she's quite the success story, with Kerry Washington starrer Scandal under her belt, and a brand new legal drama in the works too. Still, we're sure Grey's will be her crowning glory for many years to come.
So, there you have it: Mer and Der won't be going anywhere any time soon. Are we happy?
