The end is nigh for the third series of Sherlock with the last episode being aired this coming Sunday. With only three episodes a series, they really do always leave us begging for more. Thankfully though, that's what we are getting!
Two more crackin' new series' on the way to us and according to the show's writers; 'The ideas are the best we've ever had".
Sherlock's co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatis told the audience at last night's Bafta screening of the season three finale;
"Rather excitingly, Mark and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus… and we just started plotting out what we could do in the future,”
"And we plotted out the whole of series four and five."
"So we have got plans – but our plans don’t tend to be ‘Let’s blow up the world or cast the most famous person in the world’ they tend to be ‘What exciting twists and turns can we add to this?’ And I think we’ve got some crackers!"
So looks like we will have plenty more Sherlock adventures to come, and we're just delighted that TV's greatest bromance can continue to blossom! Did you see the Best Man's speech? Nawww.
You can watch the season three finale 'His Last Vow' this Sunday on BBC 1 at 8.30pm.
