If we are to believe reports it looks like the increasingly in demand Adam Driver will be the next big evil character type in the new Star Wars movie. Apparently, he will play a "Darth Vader-esque" villain in what has to be one of the biggest movie franchise in the world, nay, galaxy!
While it has yet to be confirmed by the actor, Variety seem pretty certain that it's a goer. A source told them that while no deal is done yet, "the 'Girls' actor is close to signing on to play the villain in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Wars: Episode VII.”
Apparently the delay in signing was due to some scheduling difficulties with 'Star Wars' and his HBO show 'Girls'. Although, his co-star Lena Dunham also seems pretty confident that it's happening, as she tweeted:
We're VERY proud of Adam Driver re: Star Wars. He's about to rip a hole in da force. Is that a thing? I guess I should see those movies?

The actor was propelled to fame through Dunham's show, and is now in demand for a whole load of high profile roles. He is currently filming Warner Bros 'Midnight Special' and has also being linked to Martin Scorsese’s 'Silence', starring Andrew Garfield and Liam Neeson.
This is great for him and all, but let's hope he doesn't get carried away with all these blockbuster movies and forget his roots in 'Girls'. It just really wouldn't be the same without him, would it?
