Although Sandi Tolksvig is now stepping back from 'Great British Bake Off', the show must go on and that means finding a replacement.

Per a report in The Sun, Noel Fielding has signed on for a three-year contract with the show, while Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith both have also signed on for three more years on the show. However, the report also mentions who may be replacing Tolksvig.

Among the names mentioned are comedians Jo Brand and Jennifer Saunders, as well as former contestants Nadiya Hussain, who won the 2015 show, and Liam Charles, who was a contestant in the 2017 show.

Both Hussain and Charles have done extremely well after the show, with Charles now hosting 'Junior Bake Off', while Hussain signed major publishing deals as well as hosting her own cookery shows on the BBC.

Brand and Saunders, of course, are two of the funniest comedians in the UK and would be a perfect fit for the show. Brand was a regular contestant on 'QI', where Sandi Tolksvig acts as host and took over stewardship of the show when Stephen Fry left.

Saunders, of course, is well known as one-half of comedy act French & Saunders, as well as 'Absolutely Fabulous' with Joanna Lumley.

It's all early days yet, and odds are that Noel Fielding may even end up hosting the show by himself, but for now, the question still remains - who will replace Sandi Tolksvig?

'Great British Bake Off' is expected to return in August 2020.
